A heroin and crack cocaine dealer in Burton-on-Trent is back in prison after being jailed for more than five years.
Scott Rafferty, 32, of Burton-on-Trent, was arrested by proactive officers who were investigating class A drug supply in the area between July and August last year.
We spotted him outside his home and arrested him after he was searched and found in possession of a drug line phone.
Officers found lots of bulk messages on the phone that had been sent to people in the area advertising the sale of heroin and crack cocaine.
Rafferty was brought in for interview and was charged with being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine and heroin.
He later pleaded guilty to the offences in court and was sentenced to five years and six months behind bars.
We’re working proactively each and every day across Staffordshire to target those responsible for high-harm crimes in our communities, including drug supply, criminal exploitation, firearms offences and serious violence.
