Eight men have been jailed for their part in a conspiracy to supply heroin, cocaine and cannabis from Merseyside into Staffordshire.
The men, from Staffordshire and Liverpool, were sentenced at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court on 7 January.
The court heard that between August 2019 and January 2020, Sean Boyle, Daniel Herrity, Owen Doherty and John Roberts, all from Liverpool, sourced
heroin, cocaine and cannabis which was then transported to Staffordshire and smaller quantities would be sold in local areas by Daniel Tew, Aaron, Dawkins, Jordan Smith and Simon Rushton.
Officers from our Disruptions Team North, working with officers from Merseyside Police, carried out a number of drugs warrants across north
Staffordshire and Liverpool in January 2020 and arrested nine people.
Another man was given a suspended sentence and three men were given community orders.
Two other men and a woman will be sentenced at a date to be confirmed.
DC Colin Jones, from Staffordshire Police, said: “This has been an exhaustive investigation which has resulted in almost 40 years of prison sentences so far. This is a true testament to years of hard work and dedication by officers.
“Conducting hundreds of hours of detective work, we were able to build this case and bring each and every offender operating in this conspiracy to justice, despite their efforts to evade police.”
Our major and organised crime proactive teams are out and about every day across Staffordshire as part of ongoing efforts to take down the criminal networks responsible for high-harm crimes in our communities.
