A drug dealer in Tamworth has been jailed for two-years-and-seven-months after we searched his car and found deals of cocaine hidden in a sock.
Arben Qema, 36, of no fixed address, was arrested on 6 November last year when we stopped his car on Marlborough Way in Wilnecote.
The sock was found hidden under the handbrake area with 14 deals of cocaine inside.
After being taken to custody and questioned, Qema was charged with possession with intent to supply cocaine, using a motor vehicle without third party insurance and driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence.
He pleaded guilty to all of the offences at an earlier hearing and was sentenced at Stafford Crown Court on Wednesday (29 January).
Officers are working proactively across Staffordshire to target the criminal gangs responsible for drug dealing and high-harm offences in our communities.
Anyone worried about drug dealing in their area is asked to get in touch by calling 101 or using Live Chat on our website.
