We are appealing for information after a man sadly died following a collision in Tamworth.
We were called at 6.40am today (Wednesday 8 January) to reports of a collision involving a silver Ford Fiesta and a white BMW coupe on Sutton Road in Mile Oak.
Sadly, the driver of the Ford, a 20-year-old man, was pronounced dead by paramedics at the scene.
The driver of the BMW, a 27-year-old man, was taken to hospital by ambulance as a precaution.
Highways have been informed and the A453 Sutton Road is due to be closed for a number of hours at the junctions of Slade Road, Bassets Pole and Drayton Lane.
Anyone who saw what happened or recalls seeing either of the vehicles beforehand or may have relevant dashcam footage should contact us on 101 quoting incident number 73 of 8 January.
