We are appealing for information following reports of vehicle tyres being punctured by nails on roads in Tamworth and Wiggington
Officers are investigating damage to cars in the area of Wiggington Road, at its junction with Upper Gungate, through to Main Road, at its junction with Syerscote Lane, between Wednesday 5 February and Wednesday 12 February.
PC Ian McKechnie, investigating, said: “We are currently investigating reports of damage to 12 vehicles in the area.
“Officers are checking over CCTV and patrolling the area as part of our ongoing enquiries to establish the full circumstances.
“We know there’s been lots of comments about this on social media and we’re urging people not to speculate at this stage. We’re carrying out a thorough investigation and we’re keen to speak to people with information that can help us.”
