Three people have been arrested following the death of a woman in Stoke-on-Trent.
We were called at 8.20am today (Sunday 9 February) to Bank Hall Road in Burslem following concerns for the welfare of a woman.
Officers attended along with colleagues from West Midlands Ambulance Service.
Sadly, a woman, in her 40s, was pronounced dead by paramedics at the scene.
We are currently treating her death as unexplained.
Her next of kin has been informed and is being supported by specialist officers at this difficult time.
Three people, a woman aged 30, a man aged 30 and another man aged 38, all from Stoke-on-Trent, have all been arrested in connection with the death while our investigation continues.
We would urge members of the public to refrain from speculating on social media as we conduct our inquiries.
