A man has been charged after we found cocaine during a vehicle stop and search in Tamworth.
Aldo Bilalaj, 23, from Tamworth, has been charged with possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of class A (cocaine), driving a motor vehicle otherwise than in accordance with a licence, using a motor vehicle on a road/public place without third party insurance and acquiring/using/possessing criminal property.
It comes after we stopped the car in Glascote and searched the driver at around 12.45pm yesterday (Tuesday 18 February). A phone and £365 was found. We then carried out a full search of the car and found cocaine.
Bilalaj appeared at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre today (Wednesday 19 February), where he was remanded in custody to appear at Stafford Crown Court on Friday 21 March.
