We are appealing for information after around £100 was stolen from a shop in Tamworth.
We were called at 7.30am on Sunday 16 February to Morrisons Daily, Ellerbeck, Wilnecote, following reports of a robbery.
A man entered the shop with a knife and took around £100 from the till. He then left the area on foot.
The suspect is described as a man in his early 30s and around 5ft 5ins tall.
Chief Inspector Stuart Coleman, from the Tamworth local policing team, said: "We don't underestimate the profound impact that robbery and theft can have of people and businesses, particularly when weapons are used.
“I can assure local residents that we’re actively carrying out a number of enquiries to investigate these thefts and we’re working hard to take robust action against those responsible for these crimes in Staffordshire.”
Anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area or may have relevant CCTV, dashcam or doorbell footage should contact us on 101, quoting incident number 138 of 16 February.
To report anonymously, contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
