A teenage boy has been arrested on suspicion of drug supply offences by officers from our major and organised crime proactive teams in Lichfield.
We stopped a number of young people for a search yesterday afternoon (Tuesday 15 April). One of them had multiple bags of cannabis on him, as well as a mobile phone and £885 in cash. Another had a set of scales.
A 17-year-old boy, from Burntwood, has been arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a Class B drug. He has since been bailed with conditions while our investigation continues.
We’re continuing to disrupt the drug lines operating across Staffordshire. Officers are gathering intelligence on the serious criminals responsible for drug supply in our communities and are acting proactively to take down the gangs that are coercing vulnerable people into a life of crime.
More than 1,000 people have been arrested on suspicion of drug and weapon offences since we launched our crackdown in May 2023. More will be coming as we continue to act robustly across the county.
