We are appealing for information after a serious collision in Endon.
We were called at 12.30pm today (Thursday 10 April) to the A53 Leek Road following reports of a collision.
A black Renault Traffic van was involved in a collision with a pedestrian.
The pedestrian, a man, was taken to hospital by ambulance.
His injuries are believed to be potentially life-threatening at this time. His next of kin has been informed.
The van driver, who was not injured, remained at the scene and is assisting officers with their inquiries.
The road was closed at the junction of the B5051 Clay Lake up to St Luke’s CE Academy following the collision, but has since reopened.
We are keen to speak to anyone who was travelling in the area with any information or dashcam footage which could help collision investigators.
