The death of a woman in Tamworth on Tuesday (17 September) is not being treated as suspicious.
We were called by colleagues from West Midlands Ambulance Service to a property on Bowling Green Avenue, Wilnecote, shortly before 11am.
Officers went to the scene alongside colleagues from Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service and found an elderly woman trapped under a vehicle.
Sadly, despite the best efforts of emergency services, the woman died at the scene.
Following extensive enquiries the death is not being treated as suspicious and a file is being prepared for HM Coroner.
Our thoughts remain with the woman’s family and friends at this deeply traumatic time.
