Two suspected drug dealers have been arrested after we found cocaine following a vehicle stop in Uttoxeter.
Today (Tuesday 10 September) proactive officers stopped a vehicle on a car park off Trinity Road. Officers found and seized cocaine, cash and mobile phones.
They went on to search an address in the town and recovered cannabis and scales.
A 27-year-old man, from the Burton area, and a 25-year-old woman, from the Uttoxeter area, were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a class A drug.
Both remain in custody at this time while our enquiries continue.
The activity follows our ongoing commitment to proactively target serious and organised crime across Staffordshire.
We launched Operation Target last year and have been working with local police forces to disrupt and pursue criminals who plan, organise and commit serious criminal offences across the county, including drug supply, illegal firearms, knife crime, human trafficking and sexual exploitation.
