A closure order has been granted for a property in Stoke-on-Trent following multiple reports of drug-related anti-social behaviour (ASB).
On Wednesday 11 September, we secured a three-month closure for an address on Foden Street, thanks to evidence submitted by officers from the Stoke South local policing team (LPT).
This positive action is in response to persistent reports from local residents of drug-related ASB linked to the property.
The order will be in place for the next three months and prohibits any person from entering the premises other than the landlord, emergency service workers and professionals.
Inspector Emma Kempson, deputy commander for Stoke South LPT, said: “Everyone living within our towns and cities should feel safe in their surroundings and we are committed to tackling any type of anti-social behaviour.
“As such, we will continue to take action against those who bring misery to our communities and cause persistent problems across Stoke-on-Trent.”
The activity follows our Making Great Places initiative alongside the council, aimed at tackling the main priorities affecting residents and acting robustly on local concerns as part of our vision in making Stoke-on-Trent a cleaner, safer, healthier and wealthier place for everyone.
