A closure order has been granted for a property in Stoke-on-Trent following multiple reports of anti-social behaviour (ASB) and violence.
On Friday (30 August), we secured a three-month closure for an address on Homer Street in Hanley, thanks to evidence submitted by neighbourhood officers from the Stoke North local policing team (LPT).
This positive action is in response to persistent reports from local residents of ASB and violence linked to the property.
The order will be in place for the next three months and prohibits any person from entering the premises other than the legal owner/landlord, emergency service workers and professionals.
Neighbourhood officer, PC Natasha Egar, from Stoke North LPT, said: “Officers have worked hard in order to reduce the anti-social behaviour associated with this property before seeking a closure order.
“This action sends out a clear message that anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated. It also provides some much needed respite to the local community.
“Everyone should feel safe in their surroundings and we are committed to tackling any type of anti-social behaviour with our partners.”
If you have been affected by anti-social behaviour in your area, contact Staffordshire Police through our Live Chat on our website, or call 101.
