We have arrested three people as part of our investigation into a burglary in Newcastle-under-Lyme where work tools worth £2,000 were taken.
It happened between 8.30pm on Monday 16 September and 8.30am on Tuesday 17 September when the suspects smashed through a bi-fold glass door to a house that was being renovated on The Glade.
Once inside, they took the tools and made off.
Officers from the local policing team have been trawling through CCTV from the scene as part of their efforts to find out who is responsible.
Following a number of enquiries, we arrested three people from Newcastle-under-Lyme:
All three have been questioned in custody and bailed with conditions while our investigation continues.
PC Abby Stimpson, from the Newcastle-under-Lyme local policing team, said: “We know that burglary is a priority concern for so many residents and businesses across the county and we’re determined to continue taking proactive action against those responsible.
“This type of crime is incredibly invasive and can impact on victims in more ways than one. We want to make it clear that officers are working hard every single day to identify prolific thieves in Staffordshire and to take robust action against those blighting the communities we proudly serve.”
