A man has been charged with drug and driving offences after proactive officers searched a car in Tamworth.
Hygert Cahani, 20, and of no fixed address, has been charged with possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of class A (cocaine), acquiring, using, or possessing criminal property, driving a motor vehicle otherwise than in accordance with a licence, and using a motor vehicle on a road or public place without third party insurance.
It comes after officers came across a Mazda 2 on a car park on Glascote Road, just before 10.20am, on Wednesday (30 October).
They found cocaine, a mobile phone and cash.
Cahani appeared at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre yesterday (Thursday 31 October), where he was remanded in custody to appear at Stafford Crown Court on 29 November.
