A man has been charged following a stabbing in Stoke-on-Trent.
Seyed Pouria, 23, from Shelton, Stoke-on-Trent, has been charged with wounding with intent, possession of a knife blade/pointed article in a public place, and attempted robbery.
It comes after we were called to a disturbance on Parliament Row, Hanley, just after 11.20am yesterday (Saturday 12 October).
A man was assessed and treated by colleagues at West Midlands Ambulance Service before being taken to hospital.
Pouria remains in custody and is due to appear at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre on Monday (14 October).
Chief Inspector Dave Barrow, force knife crime lead, said: “I would like to reassure the public that we are committed to tackling knife crime.
“Carrying a knife is never the answer and only increases the risk of harm to everyone involved. We will continue to work with partners and use every tool at our disposal to make our communities a safer place."
