Detectives are investigating after a man sadly died following a collision in Fazeley.
At about 9.15am on Thursday 18 July, we were called to Coleshill Street in Fazeley, near to Tesco Express, following reports of a collision involving a pedestrian and a car.
We attended the scene alongside colleagues from West Midlands Ambulance Service.
The pedestrian, a man in his 70s, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
We arrested a man the same day on suspicion of attempted murder.
Sadly, the pedestrian died in hospital on Friday 4 October.
Specially-trained officers are supporting his family at this tragic time.
A 66-year-old man, from Leicester, has been arrested on suspicion of murder and is currently in custody.
