A man has been charged after a car was stolen from Brown Edge.
Thomas Atkinson, 32, from Newcastle-under-Lyme, has been charged with aggravated vehicle taking, driving a vehicle dangerously, three counts of criminal damage, two counts of driver of a vehicle failing to stop after a road accident, failing to stop a vehicle when directed by a PC, and using a motor vehicle on a road without third party insurance.
It comes after a Kia Ceed was reported missing at 7.40am on Tuesday (26 November).
We later spotted the car and following a pursuit, three men and a woman were arrested on Lycett Lane, Madeley Heath.
Atkinson has been remanded in custody to appear at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre today (Thursday 28 November).
A 33-year-old man, of no fixed address, who was arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle, being carried in a motor vehicle without the owners consent, and criminal damage, has been released on bail while our enquiries continue.
A 42-year-old man and a 45-year-old woman, both from Stoke-on-Trent, arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle, have been released without charge.
