A man has been charged after officers found cocaine inside a sock during a vehicle stop-and-search in Tamworth.
Arben Qema, 36, of no fixed address, has been charged with possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of class A (cocaine), driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence and driving without third-party insurance.
It comes after officers stopped a grey Mazda 2 on Marlborough Way, Wilnecote, just after 3.30pm on Wednesday (6 November) and found cocaine inside the vehicle.
Qema appeared at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre today (Friday 8 November) where he was remanded in custody to appear at Stafford Crown Court on 6 December.
