Man arrested after officers find cocaine in sock

A man has been arrested after officers found cocaine inside a sock during a stop-and-search in Tamworth.
Just after 3.30pm yesterday (Wednesday 6 November), we stopped a grey Mazda 2 on Marlborough Way, Wilnecote.
When they searched the car, officers found a sock with cocaine inside.
A 36-year-old man, of no fixed abode, has been arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of class A (cocaine), drug driving, driving without a licence and driving without insurance.
He remains in custody while our enquiries continue.
