We are appealing for witnesses after a man racially abused a driver and smashed a car windscreen with a hammer in a road rage incident in Barton-under-Needwood.
At around 6.10pm on Thursday 31 October, the driver of a red Toyota overtook a white Jaguar which was being driven by the victim on Dunstall Road.
The Toyota then pulled in front of the Jaguar and stopped.
The driver of the Toyota, a man, got out and approached the victim, who wound his window down.
It is reported that the suspect then made racist comments before hitting and smashing the windscreen with a hammer.
He got back in the Toyota and drove off.
The victim was shaken but not injured.
