We are appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision on the A34 Stone Road last night (Saturday 2 November).
It happened at about 8.30pm when a grey BMW estate and a black Renault Clio collided on the southbound carriageway, between Trentham Gardens and the Monkey Forest island.
Officers went to the scene alongside colleagues from Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service and paramedics from West Midlands Ambulance Service.
Sadly, a 21-year-old local man, who was driving the BMW, was pronounced dead at the scene.
A passenger in the BMW and the driver of the Clio were taken to hospital with injuries that were not deemed life-threatening.
We’re appealing to anyone who may have been in the area at the time or those travelling between Trentham and the Monkey Forest island at about 8.15pm last night to get in touch with us, particularly those with dashcam footage.
