We’re appealing for information after a woman sadly died following a collision with a car in Stoke-on-Trent.
Officers were called to Blurton Road, Blurton at 11.36am this morning (Monday 18 November), following reports of a black Kia Ceed colliding with a pedestrian.
We went to the scene alongside paramedics from West Midlands Ambulance Service, Midlands Air Ambulance and Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service.
Sadly, the pedestrian, a woman in her 50s, died as a result of her injures.
We have deployed specially-trained officers to support her family at this difficult time.
Collision investigators are working to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident. At this stage, we don’t believe anyone else was involved.
Anyone with any information, particularly those with CCTV, dashcam or doorbell footage of the area at the time, are asked to get in touch with us. Call 101, quoting incident 208 of 18 November, or email investigators directly using [email protected]
