We’ve now arrested a total of eight people as our enquiries continue into an incident involving men with weapons in Stoke-on-Trent.
Officers were first called at 5.45pm on Saturday 11 May when the group were seen on Rochester Road, Longton.
Firearms officers searched the area but no-one was found and no-one was reported injured.
Since then, seven people from Stoke-on-Trent were arrested:
They have all been questioned in custody and released on bail while enquiries continue.
An 18-year-old man, from Stoke-on-Trent, is the eighth person to be arrested in connection with the incident. He was arrested on suspicion of violent disorder and conspiring to possess a firearm without a certificate.
