A teenager has been charged after we seized heroin, crack cocaine and a weapon in Burton-on-Trent.
A 17-year-old boy, from Birmingham, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has been charged with possession with intent to supply a class A drug (heroin), possession with intent to supply a class A drug (crack cocaine), possession of a section 5 firearm and possessing criminal property.
It comes following a search on a car park off James Street at 1.45pm yesterday (Monday 20 May). We found cocaine, £317 cash and a mobile phone.
More drugs and £388 cash were found during a search in custody.
We then went to an address in the area and seized scales, cocaine, heroin and a stun gun.
He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre tomorrow (Wednesday 21 May).
We are continuing to work with our neighbouring forces to tackle serious and organised crime as part of our Operation Target commitment.
