A man has been arrested following deliberate vehicle fires in Stoke-on-Trent during the early hours of this morning (Friday 24 May).
We went to Withington Road, Fegg Hayes and Deakin Road, Chell Heath, just before 12.30am this morning (Friday 24 May) alongside our colleagues from Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service.
Two cars were found well-alight on a driveway at a home on Withington Road. They were extinguished by fire crews.
On Deakin Road, a van was found alight and had spread to the nearby home.
Thankfully, no-one was injured in either of the fires.
We’ve started work to look at CCTV, speak to people in the area and carry out enquiries to track down those responsible.
A 40-year-old man, from Newcastle-under-Lyme, has been arrested on suspicion of arson.
He will be questioned in custody.
