Man arrested after sexual assaults

Specialists detectives from our Public Protection Team are investigating a number of sexual assaults in Stoke-on-Trent this morning (Friday 17 May).
The sexual assaults were reported to us in the Shelton, Etruria and Hartshill areas.
Specialist officers are supporting the victims.
A 25-year-old man, from Stoke on Trent, has been arrested on suspicion of attempted rape, attempted kidnap and sexual assault. He remains in custody. We are not looking for anyone else at this time.
We would like to reassure the public that these events are extremely rare and we have uniformed officers in the local area to provide reassurance to our communities.
Anyone who has any information that can help us is urged to get in touch. We’re particularly interested in any CCTV, dashcam or doorbell footage, including of a black Vauxhall Astra, that can help with our investigation.
