A man has been arrested after a man and four officers were assaulted in Biddulph.
We were called just after 10.30am on Wednesday 8 May after the victim was knocked to the floor inside at a pharmacy on Wharf Road.
Officers searched the area for the suspect. Four officers were assaulted after finding a man but were not seriously hurt and stayed on duty.
A 30-year-old man, from Biddulph, has been arrested on suspicion of common assault of an emergency worker and using threatening words or behaviour to cause alarm or distress.
He has since been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
