We’re progressing our lines of enquiry after tracking down a stolen car in Stoke-on-Trent overnight.
A Volkswagen was taken off the driveway of a home on Pennyfields Road in Newchapel, near Kidsgrove, between 9am and 4.40pm on Monday (20 May).
At about 9.30pm the same day, officers from the Central Motorway Police Group (CMPG) spotted it being driven in the Chell Heath area of Stoke-on-Trent.
It was later found abandoned on Cumberbatch Avenue, Fegg Hayes. A full forensic examination is taking place as part of our enquiries to track down those responsible.
Anyone with any information that can help us with our investigation is urged to get in touch. We’re particularly keen to speak to anyone with CCTV, dashcam or doorbell footage of the area at the time.
