Four arrested after officers find 100 cannabis plants at property

Four men have been arrested after we found 100 cannabis plants in Stoke-on-Trent.

We found the grow at a property near Market Street, Longton, just before 8.45pm yesterday (Tuesday 28 May) following reports of a suspected break-in. 

A total of 100 plants were discovered inside the address, along with equipment used in the production of cannabis, including lights and transformers. We also seized a BB gun.

The plants were seized and the property has been secured.

A 21-year-old man, from Stoke-on-Trent, was arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary.

A 35-year-old man, from Stoke-on-Trent, was arrested on suspicion of burglary.

A 25-year-old man, of no fixed address, and a 20-year-old man, from Stoke-on-Trent, were arrested on suspicion of burglary with intent to steal.

All four men have been released on conditional police bail while our enquiries continue.
