The family of a man who died in a fatal collision in Uttoxeter have been left ‘devasted’.
Solomon Victory-Daly, aged 24, from Uttoxeter, was a pedestrian on the A50 Westbound when he came into collision with a HGV, just after 2.30am on Saturday (11 May).
We went to the scene with colleagues from West Midlands Ambulance Service.
Sadly, Solomon died at the scene.
Speaking after what happened, his family have issued a tribute to him.
“Solomon, your loss has devastated us. We’re reeling from the sudden void in our lives.
“All who knew you are deeply affected. Son, brother, uncle, nephew, grandson, partner and friend. You’ll always be loved, never forgotten. Rest in peace.”
His family have asked for their privacy to be respected at this incredibly difficult time.
The driver of the HGV is helping collision investigators with their enquiries.
We’re keen to speak to anyone who was traveling in the area, along the A50 from 01.45am onwards on Saturday in particular, with any dashcam footage which could help collision investigators.
The collision happened between the Derby Road roundabout and the McDonald’s roundabout.
