A drug dealer found with crack cocaine and cannabis in Tamworth has been given a two-year suspended sentence.
Alex Millard, 32, of Mile Oak, Tamworth, was sentenced at Stafford Crown Court yesterday (Thursday 16 May) after pleading guilty to possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of class A (crack cocaine) and possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of class B (cannabis) after pleading guilty at an earlier hearing.
He was also ordered to pay £250 court costs and a £187 surcharge, In addition, he must carry out 150 hours of unpaid work.
Millard was sat in the driver’s seat of a Honda Civic involved in a stop-and-search by officers on Eringden, Stonydelph, in April 2022.
We found and seized cannabis in a zip-lock bag and nail polish container and 15 wraps of suspected class A drugs inside the vehicle. Officers also recovered an iPhone and Nokia ‘burner phone’ as well as just over £700 cash.
Millard was arrested and later charged after being released under investigation.
The activity follows our ongoing commitment to proactively target serious and organised crime across Staffordshire.
