A man has been arrested after a non-stop collision in Tamworth.
Officers found an injured man in the road, outside Pizza Express, on Aldergate at approximately 6.06pm on Sunday evening (12 May).
Witnesses said the man, who had a serious head injury and was taken to hospital, had been in collision with a grey Audi that left the scene.
A 35-year-old man, Tamworth, has been arrested on suspicion of failing to stop after a road accident.
He remains in custody while enquiries continue.
