We are continuing to appeal for information after a man was stabbed near a nightclub in Tamworth.
We first got the call at 1.40am on Saturday morning (23 March) to Atik nightclub on Spinning School Lane.
Paramedics from West Midlands Ambulance Service found a man in his 20s with stab wounds to his leg.
Thankfully, his injuries were not thought to be serious. He was taken to hospital but has since been discharged.
On the same day, we arrested three men:
All three have since been released on conditional police bail while enquiries continue.
We set-up a scene in the area and have been speaking to people as part of our enquiries into what happened. A forensic examination has taken place and the scene has since been closed down.
Officers understand the incident to have taken place outside of the venue. We are continuing to work closely with staff as part of our enquiries into what happened.
We’d also like to thank residents and businesses for their patience and understanding following a period of disruption over the weekend.
Officers are keen to speak to anyone who might have information as part of the investigation. Call us on 101, quoting incident 65 of 23 March, or message us using Live Chat on our website.
If you want to report anonymously, you can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
