We have arrested a man after a car was stolen at knifepoint in Stoke-on-Trent.
We got a call just before 8.45pm yesterday (Thursday 21 March) when a man stole a black MG after threatening the owner with a knife in the Tunstall area.
We were able to bring the MG to a stop just after 9.30pm and officers seized the knife and a hammer from the car.
The car has since been returned to its owner.
The victim was left shaken but not injured.
A 29-year-old man, from Stoke-on-Trent, was arrested on suspicion robbery and remains in custody.
We’re working hard to make Staffordshire a hostile place for thieves to offend.
