A man has been arrested after we seized a knuckleduster, drugs, cash and a mobile phone in Tamworth.
Officers stopped a grey VW Golf on River Drive at 2.10pm yesterday (Wednesday 27 March). We found cash and a mobile phone inside.
When officers later searched an address in Tamworth they found and seized a knuckleduster, cocaine and cannabis.
A 28-year-old man, from Tamworth, was arrested on suspicion of being in possession of a class A drug, being concerned in the supply of a class A drug, possession with intent to supply a class B drug, driving under the influence of drugs, and possession of an offensive weapon.
He has since been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
We are continuing to work with our neighbouring forces to tackle serious and organised crime as part of our Operation Target commitment.
