Closure order secured following anti-social behaviour and drug dealing reports at property

We have secured a closure order at a property in Newcastle-under-Lyme following persistent reports of anti-social behaviour and drug dealing.

Yesterday (21 March), local officers secured the three-month closure order at an address on Montgomery Court after working closely with residents to tackle the issues which matter the most to them. It means that people can't enter the property throughout the period, other than the housing association, emergency service workers and professionals. 

PC Chris Willder, from the Newcastle local policing team, said: "We remain committed to acting in the best interests of our communities and this includes taking action against those who continue to engage in anti-social behaviour across Staffordshire.

"This property will be policed rigidly and anybody not adhering to the order will be dealt with in accordance with the powers that this order gives."
