Two people from Stoke-on-Trent have been arrested after we tracked down stolen items that were taken in a burglary in Newcastle-under-Lyme.
On Sunday 17 March, a number of items were taken from a garage near Sandy Lane, including tools and a high-value racing bike.
Local officers started work to track down those responsible and trawl through CCTV to identify where the stolen items went.
After speaking with the victim, we acted on intelligence and searched an address near Weston Road in Stoke-on-Trent.
We found some of the items that were taken in the burglary, as well as 14 pedal and electric bikes, which are believed to have been stolen in separate incidents.
Two men, aged 47 and 30, from Stoke-on-Trent, have been arrested on suspicion of burglary.
They were questioned about the findings in custody and released under investigation while our enquiries continue.
The items taken from the Newcastle-under-Lyme burglary have been returned to the victim.
