Two suspected thieves received a woof ride after paw-tners in crime Maddie and Tiger lived up to their policing pedigree during incidents in Stoke-on-Trent and Stafford.
We received several reports of a woman breaking into sheds and cars on the Eaton Park estate at 12.30am yesterday Monday (10 June). PD Tiger and handler PC Rob Mountford soon caught their suspect by tracking a trail of discarded items.
A 30-year-old woman, from the Stoke-on-Trent area, was arrested on suspicion of burglary and vehicle interference. She remains in custody.
Meanwhile, PD Maddie and handler PC Luke Nixon went to a report of an intruder on a building site in Stafford. We received a call at around 11.30pm on Sunday (9 June).
On arrival, PD Maddie searched the area and located a suspect. A 37-year-old man, from Cornwall, was arrested on suspicion of burglary. He has been released on bail whilst our inquiries continue.
