Searches are continuing at addresses in Stoke-on-Trent after we carried out warrants and found a handgun.
Yesterday (Wednesday 19 June), officers went to Chaplin Road in Longton to execute a search warrant.
A police presence remains in the area today (20 June) whilst the searches continue and we carry out enquiries.
A second search warrant was carried out at an address on St John Street, Stoke-on-Trent. A handgun and class A drugs have been found in an alleyway nearby.
A 17-year-old boy, from Stoke-on-Trent, has been arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine.
He will be questioned in custody.
