We have arrested a man after a car collided with a derelict pub in Stoke-on-Trent.
Just before 12.30am this morning (Thursday 13 June), we got a call to Shelton New Road following reports of a blue BMW colliding with a derelict pub.
The road was closed and remains closed, with diversions in place through Cemetery Road.
No one was injured and the driver of the car was seen leaving the scene.
A 24-year-old man, from Stoke-on-Trent, was arrested on suspicion of driving a motor vehicle dangerously, failing to stop after a road accident and being the driver of a vehicle involved in a road accident and failing to report that accident.
He has been released on police bail while enquiries continue.
