Investigation launched following death of man

We have launched an investigation following the death of a man near Tamworth.

We were called just after 5am today (Tuesday 4 June) to a report of a body found in Clifton Park, Clifton Campville.

West Midlands Ambulance Service also attended the scene. Sadly, the man was pronounced dead just before 5.30am.

An investigation to establish the cause of the death is underway.

We are carrying out house-to-house enquiries and nearby residents will see an increased number of officers in the area.
