Appeal after girl involved in collision with off-road bike

We are appealing for information following two separate incidents involving off-road motorbikes in Stoke-on-Trent last night (Sunday 2 June).

Officers were called to Central Forest Park in Hanley at 7.15pm following reports of a collision involving a young girl and an off-road motorbike.

The rider of the bike rode off after it happened.

Officers went to the scene and started asking people in the area about what happened.

Thankfully, the girl’s injuries were not deemed serious.

Enquiries are ongoing to track down the rider.

Officers at the scene were then told that a separate rider had been using the wheel of an off-road motorbike to spray mud into a young boy’s face.

Whilst attempting to locate the young boy, a number of people in the area became obstructive with officers.

One officer was assaulted by a woman.

Officers returned the young boy to his guardian and have been investigating both of the incidents.
