A man has been arrested after we found nearly 200 cannabis plants in Cannock.
We went to a property on Huntington Terrace Road, just before 1pm on Tuesday (2 July), following reports of a grow in a shed.
A total of 186 plants were discovered at the address, along with equipment used in the production of cannabis. We also found several weapons.
A 56-year-old man, from the Cannock area, was arrested on suspicion of producing a drug of class B (cannabis), possession of an offensive weapon in a private place, and abstracting electricity without authorisation.
He has been released on police bail while our enquiries continue.
We are continuing to proactively target those involved in drug cultivation across Staffordshire as part of our Operation Levidrome commitment.
