Detectives are appealing for information after a man was seriously injured in Burton-on-Trent.
Just before 10.15pm yesterday (Tuesday 23 July), we were called to Queen’s Hospital in the town following reports that a man had been stabbed.
He remains in hospital today and is receiving treatment for multiple injuries. These are not believed to be life-threatening at this time.
Officers have been carrying out enquiries to find out more about what happened and to reassure the local community.
Detective Inspector Richard Dancey, from CID South, said: “We are keen to hear from witnesses who may be able to help with our investigation.
“If you saw what happened, or have any relevant CCTV, dashcam or doorbell footage, particularly from the area around Casey Lane in Burton, please get in touch.”
