We’re appealing for information following a serious assault in Stoke-on-Trent.
We were called to New Hall Street in Hanley, just outside Bar 360, at about 5.30am on Sunday (7 July), after a young man assaulted another man.
Officers went to the scene alongside paramedics from West Midlands Ambulance Service.
The victim was left unconscious in the street and was later taken to hospital. His injuries aren’t believed to be life-threatening or life-changing at this time.
A 17-year-old boy, from Stoke-on-Trent, has been arrested on suspicion of assault.
He was interviewed in custody and released on conditional police bail while enquiries continue.
We’re keen to speak to anyone who saw what happened or those with CCTV, dashcam or doorbell footage from the area at the time.
