We have arrested two more people as our investigating into a fight outside a cannabis grow in Tamworth continues.
Officers were called to Dent Street just before 6am on Sunday (21 January) when a big group of men were seen fighting in the street with weapons.
When we got to the scene, a large cannabis grow was found inside an address.
A 26-year-old man, from London, and a 22-year-old man, from Tamworth, were both arrested on suspicion of affray. They have since been released on conditional bail while enquiries continue.
Since then, we’ve also arrested a 52-year-old man, from Tamworth, on suspicion of affray and possession of cannabis. He has also been released on conditional bail.
A 31-year-old man was taken to hospital after suffering injuries in the incident. He has since been discharged and arrested on suspicion of affray. He is being questioned in custody today (22 January).
Temporary cordons have been stood down and officers are continuing to appeal for information that could help with the investigation.
We would like to thank those who have already come forward and to those who have engaged positively with officers in the area over the weekend.
