A man and a woman have been arrested after officers found crack cocaine at a home in Cannock.
We initially stopped a man on Poplar Avenue, Cannock, just before 3.30pm yesterday (Monday 15 January) and found crack cocaine.
We then searched a home in the area and found more crack cocaine which had been wrapped in cling film, as well as mobile phones and cash.
A 50-year-old man, from Cannock, was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine and theft.
A 49-year-old woman, from Cannock, was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply crack cocaine.
Both have since been released under investigation while our enquiries continue.
A man in his 40s is also due to attend a voluntary interview at a later date in relation to the findings.
The activity follows our ongoing commitment to tackling serious and organised crime and protecting those who are at risk of exploitation through criminals – called Operation Target.
Work is continuing to proactively target the groups responsible for these crimes – including county lines, drug distribution, illegal firearms and sexual exploitation.
