A boy has been charged after we seized class A drugs and more than £2,000 in Burton-on-Trent.
A 17-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, from Burton-on-Trent, has been charged with possession with intent to supply crack cocaine and heroin.
He is due to appear at North Staffordshire Justice Centre today (Friday 5 January).
It comes after we stopped a boy on Shobnall Road, Burton-on-Trent, at 4pm on Wednesday (3 January) and seized a mobile phone and cash.
Shortly after, we searched a property in Burton-on-Trent and seized crack cocaine and heroin, scales and more than £2,000 in cash.
We launched a major crackdown last year, called Operation Target, to protect those who are most vulnerable and go after those responsible for offences including drug supply, illegal firearms, knife crime, human trafficking and sexual exploitation.
